Bruno has just published a Chemistry A European Journal paper about the Fluorine induced pseudo-anomeric effect. This paper was done in collaboation with the David O’Hagans group and is a nice joint between experimental and theoretical chemistry to understand a new physical organic chemistry effect. Bruno and Vinicius presented the latest results of their work on the 5th School of Computational Chemistry (EQC2019). They also had the opportunity to learn new methods in computational chemistry and enjoy the social programme of the event, by having contact with dozens of research groups from Brazil and from abroad.
Congratulations to Marco, who was awarded a PhD scholarship from FAPESP. Marco did his undergrad scientific initiation in the group for 1.5 years and now will continue his studies in the area of theoretical and experimental mechanistic studies of complex reactions.
